Probably setting some record for most space ever wasted doing absolutely nothing, this pointless compilation abritrarily dispels Big Star's three albums into one disc with a few oddities from NOBODY CAN DANCE, BIG STAR LIVE, and Chris Bell's solo effort I AM THE COSMOS. There is so little Big Star music on the marketplace you can conceivably buy it all for under $50... and you can get everything essential for about $20 just by picking up the twofer of the first two LPs and the expanded Rykodisc CD of the third one. So why this compilation? If not to exploit the awful "new" song, "Hot Thing," then I don't know, and we may never know. Don't waste your money on this.
