Love -> Building on Fire (Sire 1976)
This excellent forerunner to "Don't Worry About the Government," predating Jerry Harrison's entrance, is irresistible and funny popcraft. The b-side "New Feeling," later issued on LP unlike "Building," weighs itself down with overwrought, overproduced fake funk. (A)
Sax and Violins (Sire/Reprise 1991)
An ethereal, seductive masterpiece from the Wim Wenders flick UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD. The best track from the NAKED era and the one that shows off the most promising future for the band. It's truly sad that they had to bow out after such a fabulous song. The single is a clean version removing the offending word from the line "Mom and Pop, they will fuck you up." (A+)
