Christina Singleton, oddly enough, offers the most "ordinary" track on HERD POLITICS, a poignant but musically indistinct grunge-type anthem. A major improvement was offered in an acoustic version on the "Us" single. All the songs from this album were sprinkled liberally throughout Diplomacy Tour setlists except this one, which was retired early on in the first leg. Strangely, the track returned in a new arrangement in 2005, now sung by Nick. Some fans felt this was an indication that Plaastik was still "claiming" Tina's songs as their own.
lookin' in your eyes at 17
like a waltz
like a new beginning
we know so much
we shouldn't know
I want to be a clean slate again
we walk together up the steps
so many secrets
so many plans
we know so much
we shouldn't know
I want to be a blank page again
young and innocent
and tomorrow you'll be gone
the next day I'll be running
in the other direction
I want to be a blank page again
