An attempt to promote the album OLIVES & SUCH was mounted vigorously with this song. The band had a wonderful instrumental demo by Christina alone and a band take that, while they felt was far less spontaneous and interesting, was more commercial since it featured her lyrics and vocals. They decided to issue the song as the first single from OLIVES & SUCH with the Plaastik version and put the solo Singleton cut on the album. Their thinking was that this would attach more fanfare to the release of the LP. They were wrong; the single got no higher than #87, although it was a club hit with its vigorous house beat (which undoubtedly influenced SCIENCE a few years later). The demo had an interesting technique for recording: Christina's acoustic guitar was actually recorded slower than everything else in order to soften its sound. Both arrangements have been used on tour.
