THE BREEZE

performed on:
Written and performed entirely by Janet Kieran, this features her alone on several overdubbed acoustic guitars. This is the arrangement that has been kept live, with other band members chiming in, although Nick Parker sang it a few times on both the Information and Diplomacy Tours, for unkown reasons.

The breeze intensified
In the yard we wondered
What would be left behind

On the television they said
It was too early to say
Too early to speculate

In my room I read
I didn't care anymore
I just looked at the ceiling

And if it crashes down on me
That's the way it'll end
Better me than you

The breeze comes and goes
The breeze wants like a man
The breeze wants like a woman

It tears you apart
And you love it
And you let it

The breeze hits you
The power tears you
And you start to dance

You dance all morning and night
Come what may
You dance all morning and night

The breeze comes and goes
The breeze wants like a man
The breeze wants like a woman

Beautiful as it is outside
I stayed in my room
And maybe I'll find something to do
