FUCK YOU, COCKSUCKER
performed on:- early gigs (1980-81)
- GOLDFISH TOUR (1982)
One of the first Plaastik originals to be played live, this showy guitar track made its debut at their second performance. Its lyrics, which seem to describe rape as an act of revenge against a businesswoman, have been the subject of heated debate in the years since the band hit the big time. Some cite them as evidence that Nick Parker is a chauvanistic pig. In any case, the lyrics seem to have made even him uncomfortable, as they were deleted to make way for the more ambigious (but in the opinion of some, no less offensive) words to "Daddy's Little Girl," which of course became the band's first massive hit.
waitin' in the city
waitin' for my money
so you hear every single sound
even when you're not around
and then you throw me to the street
because i don't meet your needs
i see you on the floor
i'm waiting at the door
it drops down in your throat
it runs and stains your coat
you deserve what you get
for all the lies and the shit
open wide and let me in
you don't know where i've been
so i don't know just what it's all about
stay where you are and we'll both find out
coming to work in that top
you're the resident cop
you make a beeline for success
