FULL MOON
performed on:- INFORMATION TOUR (1987)
- SCIENCE TOUR (2001)
Probably the most popular song from the SALT album, this winding, tangential recording is a true work of art, with vibes and ambience courtesy of Eno. The triumph all belongs to Nick, though, who gives the song its restrained intensity and an arresting, memorable lyric. Few of Plaastik's songs are more evocative, and this was pronounced in live performances on the Information Tour, which recast the song as a powerful rocker. On the Science Tour, it was a breath of fresh air as well when it was featured almost nightly as the quietest number in the set.
With no budget, the video for the song became something of a joke, simply footage of the SALT album spinning around on a turtable. The single reached #49.
last night
had it on the BBC
showin' a farm
talkin' to the lady
she said it's been a rotten year
and i never saw him again
the repoRter said

but there's a full moon tonight
that so? she said
i didn't know
cuz i don't have a calendar
walkin around the farm
the bigs bite what you give em
pigs dunno yeh pigs dunno
bout no full moon
reporter said goddamn
i'm late, gotta go back
gotta get back
she said one time
saw a stick floatin by
threw a rock in the water
and edward edward ed ed
he said 'naw you shouldn't do that'
full moon tonight babe
gotta get back
got no calendar
the pigs dunno
got no calendar
