Not quite as durable as "Get Down with This" or "This is the Shit," "Funk" nonetheless is among Plaastik's most beloved instrumentals, although its title barely fits. By 1983, the band was augmenting it with fuzz bass and wah-wah pedals, and on the Science Tour, they even fit some feedback.
Goldfish tour performances generally were based on the "PC Hacker" version of the track, included on the single and encompassing samples from an Atari 2600.
