Concieved by Kevin Keys as "easy-listening from hell," this discordant, dreary instrumental features eerie overdubs from an orchestra. Geffen was upset at the amount of expense for a song never designed as more than a b-side.
"The Glorious Supermarket" was played live on the November 19, 2001 show for the first time ever, complete with a string quartet; the following night, an orchestra was used on the entire show, but the song didn't appear.
