8-22-03:
- Reportedly, Plaastik is back in the studio finishing their latest album despite the sudden departure of keyboardist Christina Singleton. Tina was the creative force behind the band's most recent tour as well as their last few albums, and their direction at this point remains unclear. It has been mentioned that all but one of her songs for the album have been excised, for use instead on the forthcoming sophomore LP for her side project band, Crisis.
- Queries directed at Nick Parker concerning the sound of the new songs were met with his statement that "it reminds me of 73 grapes being thrown onto a brick wall."
- Rumors persist that Plaastik is hard at work searching for a replacement for Singleton, but so far this has not been confirmed. However, a recent issue of the Village Voice did feature this ad:

Most have guessed that this refers to Powerman 5K, but who knows?
5-1-03:
- Dave Hall has taken the recent announcement of Christina Singleton's departure from Plaastik, officially acknowledged by Capitol and Plaastik in a press release this morning but known across the Web since mid-April, a sa sign that it is time for him to move on with life. He says "Plaastik has changed and so have I." We all have, but I will be taking over the #1 Plaastik fan site on the web anyway. Bear with me as I get used to being in charge of this. Most of the archives of articles and interviews will still be hosted at Dave's to be slowly moved over here, while I've already got the discography on my server and the news updates will be here from now on. We do want to thank Dave for his many years of service to us and hope he won't be a stranger dammit!
