Plaastik opened for Depeche Mode early in the Playtime Tour and they heard the band playing this song, which Nick Parker said was "the stupidest thing I've ever heard." It was, then, perfect for the band to cover, and they got it onto an album before Depeche Mode did, with Martin Gore putting the track on DM's 1987 MUSIC FOR THE MASSES album mainly as a reaction to its placement as the closing track on SALT. The Plaastik version is a whisper quiet ambient production; on tour it's a louder, guitar-driven number.

Mode was likely even more annoyed when Plaastik made this the third single from SALT, with a video mocking hair bands like Warrant and Winger (for whatever reason). The song didn't get above #68.
