Brian Eno's ingenious production of this song, with its battering ram bass guitar against a wall of sound provided by a minimal string-quartet in an echo chamber -- and no percussion whatsoever -- is the main reason it made the cut of the album. Nick Parker has always been dissatisfied with the song itself; he thought the lyrics trite. It was performed live for the first time on November 19, 2001 on piano and 12-string with just Nick and Jay Kay Ray on stage. It was played during the CHILD promo tour as well.
I want to live forever
As a headline next week
You're askin' me questions
I don't understand
Where'd you get that picture?
How'd you find that quote?
I can't comprehend
Why you need to know
But I'll tell you 'cause
I need the attention
Just like a fox
Needs the prey
Can we have that picture?
Could you give us a quote?
