"Signpost" was recorded faithfully the way it was presented live in 1987, as Nick Parker's introspective solo-electric guitar piece. No other band member appears on the track. Beginning almost immediately on the Diplomacy Tour, it began to mutate into a full-band explosion. By 2001 it was a dance track.
