NACHOS single
(released on Crow Records in September 1981)
Recorded in 1980 and shopped around for over a year before a release came, Plaastik's first single, including the songs "Nachos" and "Funk," was recorded strictly by Nick Parker and released on a whim. The lineup expanded to include Parker's girlfriend Janet Kieran for sessions that produced numerous songs that have never been released as well as two unremarkable b-sides, "Funk: The Next Episode" and an early instrumental take on "Rainbow Kingdom." The 12" also includes a number of interesting remixes of the two main compositions. By the time the disc was released, the band's lineup had expanded to the five familiar members for live club shows.
