One of the most electrifying rockers in Plaastik's catalog, "Thumbtack" is a 3½-minute attack of intense, paranoid, loud guitar and feedback, condensed into stabs of sonic glory. There is nothing else like it... and in live performances, it's no less riveting. The song was actually written with synthesizers, but it was decided unanimously that the explosion should be limited to analogue instruments. The video for this song features the band in, appropriately, what appears to be a hardware store, with superimposed fire all around them. The single was the band's lowest charting on a major label to date, stalling at #101.
