Jay Kay Ray exposes his gorgeous, soulful vocal skills with this hefty crossover hit, an excellent reggae/R&B number with a nifty hip-hop interlude. Jerry Harrison's production here works perfectly; he plays the keyboards on the track himself. The rather odd video -- which attracted the (negative) attention of the NAACP -- has Plaastik playing the song in the middle of a race riot, surrounded by African-Americans singing along. The single only reached #29 but was a big success on several different radio formats.
